课程的教学目的与任务

《英语写作基础》是英语专业基础阶段一门重要的实践课程和必修课程,开设本课程的目的是为了帮助学生确立英语写作规范,培养学生初步的英语书面表达能力和英语写作的基本技能,掌握句子、段落以及应用文写作的基本理论和技巧,写出主题较为突出、内容较为完善、语言较为通顺、格式符合要求的短文。

课程的基本要求

1.掌握英语的书写格式,掌握英语语句、语段和语篇的结构特点;掌握英语记叙文、描写文、说明文和议论文的文体特点和写作技巧;了解英语应用文的格式和特点并能进行一些常用应用文的写作。

2.通过学习和实践,掌握写作技巧,提高书面表达能力和综合运用英语能力;提高观察分析、逻辑思维和批判思维能力。

3.学习和养成严谨的学习态度和诚实的文风。写作内容力求符合要求、健康积极;写作态度要严谨科学,要养成对写作内容斟词酌句、反复修改的好习惯;同时,学会合作学习,与同学在互帮互学中共同进步。

4.本课程采用课堂讲授和写作实践相结合的教学方式。课堂讲授使用多媒体教学,由教师讲解写作技巧并引导学生发现使用规律,结合小组活动和个人训练等各种形式提高学生的写作学习热情。强调写作过程的教学,积极鼓励学生参与课堂教学,培养学生获取和运用知识的能力、分析问题的能力、独立提出见解的能力和创新的能力。在课外布置适量的写作任务,及时操练和巩固所学的语言知识和写作技巧,加强对语言的实际运用能力。
